A note from Dr Greg Wilcox
As I know many of you already know, I am retiring on the 30th June 2017. I would like to warmly thank the countless patients who have given me their best wishes and their cards in recent weeks. It has been a huge pleasure to work at Harold Road for the past 31 years, having come to Hastings as junior doctor in 1981.
Being a GP is a very personal job and I consider very many of my patients as friends and will greatly miss them when I go. I shall not be leaving Hastings, so look forward to bumping into some of you from time to time to catch up on the gossip!
It is an enormous privilege to work as a GP and I would not have chosen any other career. I know many practices are under strain at this time of huge pressure in the NHS and I am delighted to be able to leave my patients in the hands of my very capable partners and two new excellent GPs who will be joining the practice as I leave.
May I wish you all the very best for the future and thank all my patients and staff for their kindness over the years.
