COVID-19 & VISITING YOUR GP SURGERY - PLEASE WEAR FACE COVERINGS.
COVID-19 PROTECTIONS ARE STILL IN PLACE lN THlS SURGERY.
In line with current Government guidance patients are required to continue to wear a face covering in all healthcare settings.
Face coverings primarily protect others. So doing so- unless exempt – is key to preventing spread of infection.
Wash/Sanitise Hands Regularly

Harold Road Surgery is continuing with the following;
All patients coming to the surgery still need to wear a mask unless exempt, use the hand sanitiser and socially distance. Our staff will continue to wear appropriate PPE.
We have made this decision as patients coming to the surgery are often sick, vulnerable and may be unvaccinated due to medical reasons. We feel that these precautions will help protect everyone.
We also need to minimise the number of our staff catching Covid 19 so a functioning service can be maintained, so these measures are vital.
Our consultations will continue as they have throughout the pandemic and will be offered via phone, video or face to face if clinically appropriate. We also have eConsult.
All calls to the surgery will be triaged by the GP before you are allocated an appointment if necessary
We have all come so far in trying to minimise the impact of Covid 19 and we need to continue to protect our staff and patients.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind people that we have a Zero tolerance policy in place at the surgery. Our staff have been experiencing high levels of physical and verbal abuse. We are aware that people can become upset when they are feeling poorly but abuse towards our staff is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.
Thank you for helping us all to keep safe.

The Practice
There has been a doctor’s practice here since the 1920s, but it became a four-doctor group in 1986 and more recently a six-doctor group. The practice is constantly changing and developing to provide our patients with the most up-to-date care in the National Health Service. We have an internal telephone exchange and we are fully computerised.
Our staff of receptionists, practice nurses, a nurse practitioner, dispensers and a practice manager, are here to help you.
